Into the Unknown

Ever since I came home from my adventures with Passport, a three-month journey spanning across southeast Africa, I have dreamed about the World Race. The World Race is an eleven-month trip that visits and ministers to eleven countries. I just sit and imagine the amazing changes that would happen within myself and my family in the course of that year.

If God can transform me so greatly during a three month trip, how much more could He do with that amount of time?

I’m walking my way towards that dream just with the steps that I am taking at the Center for Global Action this semester. I am getting to hear countless stories from a huge group of Alumni Racers that stir up so much excitement for me and my future Race. Every one of them has told me the same thing, “It is one of the best experiences that I have ever had and has changed who I am as a person”. And all have encouraged me to encounter that change for myself.

Well, God is letting me see the behind the scenes details of preparation for the World Race starting this Thursday. I have been given the role of Training Team member for training camp! I have no idea what that means yet, what I will be doing or what I will see. But with all of the animation expressed from alumni that are on the team with me, I can’t help but to embrace their excitement.

This is just one of the many amazing things that I get to do during my semester here in Georgia. And I know that it is all pointing me in the same direction. A life of working for God in any way He tells me.

“I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think You’re like, but I’ve heard the tender whisper of love in the dead of night. You tell me that You’re pleased and that I am never alone. You’re a good, good Father and I am loved by You.”-
